Memories at Tea Time

Memories at Tea Time

I am joining Katherine @ Katherines Corner for a wonderful Tea Time Tray Tour.

Tea time is a special time of day. I am a tea drinker so I enjoy it several times a day. My Mom's family was from England so tea time was always special. I remember having afternoon tea with my grandmother. She would make us special little sandwiches and a sweet treat.

My sister and I always thought we were so grown up. Once in awhile we would actually have scones and clotted cream. We loved the scones but were not sure about the clotted cream. We were little, what did we know. Now I would love to be able to sit with her and have a scone with clotted cream. I began to really appreciate clotted cream when I lived in England. Tea time is special there. I miss those times.

If you are stopping by from Life as a Leo Wife, thank you. I know you enjoyed seeing her tray.

So when asked to do a tea time tray, you might think I would make scones and clotted cream, sorry but maybe next time. Instead I pulled items that had meaning to me.

Memories of an Old Tractor

When I think of country living, I think of farms and tractors. What comes to your mind? I grew up on a farm and we had a John Deer tractor similar to the one below.

My Dad use to give us rides on it when we were little and as we got older, we were taught how to drive it. We thought it was the best thing to do and use to beg our Dad to let us drive the tractor.

A Broken Plant Stand and Memories

Preserving memories is important to me. I love to surround myself with keepsakes that remind me of family. I hold on to almost everything.(which is probably bad) I have every picture and trinket that my grand kids have done for me. Do you save tons of keepsake items?

This plant stand was my grandmothers. It wasn't in the best of shape, but because it was hers, I had to restore it.
